Russian forces have once again taken control of the village of Novomlynsk in the Kharkiv region. This information comes from the Ukrainian analytical resource DeepState.

At the beginning of December, the Defense Forces cleared one of the organized footholds established by the Russians in the village of Novomlynsk. Attention then shifted to a second area near Masyutivka, which has now expanded as far as Dvorichna and is gradually being absorbed by the enemy.

"This designation on the map in Novomlynsk is more of a clarification rather than a 'new' advance, as the occupation of the village occurred approximately a few weeks ago. We had hoped that the situation would improve, but it was given little importance by the command.

We have repeatedly pointed out the issues in this area, which emerged early on and resulted from the enemy's advances, and today it continues to progress," the analysts state.

By occupying Novomlynsk, the Russians are constantly increasing the number of infantry in the settlement, deploying strike capabilities, and fortifying the territory. The longer this foothold remains, the harder it will be to eliminate it, as the occupiers are now taking previous mistakes into account. Meanwhile, the situation around Dvorichna is not improving either.
