On February 24, 1920, Hitler introduced the Nazi Party program (NSDAP), known as the "25 points." This occurred in the Munich beer hall "Hofbräuhaus." The NSDAP had just been renamed from the German Workers' Party the day before, on February 20.

“The 25 points combined extreme nationalism, racial anti-Semitism, and socialist concepts with the outrage of Germans over the Treaty of Versailles. The program called for Germany's renunciation of the Treaty of Versailles and the inclusion of all Germans (especially those living in Austria, Czechoslovakia, and Poland) into a Greater German state. The Nazis also publicly proclaimed their intent to separate Jews from 'Aryan' German society and to abolish the political, legal, and civil rights of Jews in Germany,” — as summarized in the program of Hitler's party by the "Encyclopedia of the Holocaust."

In addition to ideological and political points, the program also included socio-economic aspects (justifying the terms "socialist" and "workers" in the party's name). There were even 13 such points, one more than the Nazi points. This part of the program appealed to Germans who were in a dire economic situation after the country's defeat in World War I and bore similarities to the communists' theses — the group that the Nazis would later despise the most. Specifically, it discussed state intervention in the economy, nationalization of trusts, and various 'social incentives': increasing pensions, benefits, and even involving workers in the distribution of enterprise profits, etc. Most points began with the words: 'We demand.' However, there was a lack of specifics regarding how these demands would be implemented.

When the NSDAP came to power, it “successfully” implemented the ideological part of the program. However, the social promises were forgotten.
