In the area of the villages Liptsy and Hluboke, north of Kharkiv, the situation has deteriorated due to worsening weather conditions — the enemy has mobilized reserves and resumed active assaults, reported "Kotya" — the commander of the drone aviation platoon of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade.
“The enemy is advancing in small infantry groups. They are consistent in this regard, nothing changes. Heavy and light armored vehicles are not being used. Our operations are stable. We are conducting sector-based work. A significant number of operational and highly experienced drone units have been engaged. We are holding the defense on our fronts; we already know the positions and the terrain. It is very difficult to surprise us. So, the situation is stable and everything is under control,” — assured the defender during a national marathon broadcast.
The location of Liptsy-Hluboke is described by the fighter as unique because the forest-steppe zone borders private construction and there is also a water body.
“We are facing not only the enemy right now but also adverse weather and natural phenomena. Because of this water body, the water level is rising at our positions. This complicates our coordinated actions, movements, and the presence of personnel in these low-lying areas. The situation is very challenging, and the water level is extremely high. However, we are, in principle, ready for these challenges. Unfortunately, this is not the first winter we are facing. Everyone knows how to respond quickly and professionally to these challenges. Liptsy is a very strategic settlement. In its vicinity, there are operational heights that, if lost, would provide direct visibility to the city of Kharkiv and its approaches. This would significantly complicate our logistics. If the enemy starts using direct artillery strikes, it will be very difficult for us to maneuver and store our ammunition,” — explained Kotya.
He added that defenders continue to be under strikes from Russian KABs, but compared to May-June, their numbers have decreased significantly.
“Additional air defense assets have been deployed, and mobile groups that combat 'Shaheds' play a very important role. This has somewhat simplified our situation,” — stated the defender.
