Over the course of a day, rescuers conducted 36 emergency responses, 13 of which were to extinguish fires, writes the regional emergency service in the Kharkiv region.
Firefighters were dispatched eight times to inspect areas following enemy shelling. The "strikes" occurred in the Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Kharkiv, and Izium districts of Kharkiv region.
“As a result of an airstrike with guided bombs on the village of Zolochiv in the Bohodukhiv district, two people were injured: a woman born in 1937 and a girl born in 2010. Two private residential houses and two outbuildings were destroyed. Additionally, residential homes, farm buildings, shop and café structures, as well as passenger vehicles sustained damage,” the emergency service clarified.
The rescuers also specified that two people died as a result of domestic fires, and there is one injured person.
“One of these fires occurred in a private two-story house on Traktorostroiteliv Avenue, covering an area of 10 square meters. During the firefighting efforts, firefighters discovered the body of a deceased woman, born in 1969. The preliminary cause of the fire is a short circuit in the electrical wiring,” the emergency service added.
