Over the next week, freezing temperatures are expected in Ukraine, with nighttime lows dropping to between -16 and -18 degrees Celsius. Although daytime temperatures will rise, they will still remain below zero. Early in the week, precipitation is possible in several central regions. Meteorologist Natalia Didenko shared details about the weather at the beginning of the week and when to expect warmer temperatures on her Facebook page.
Didenko stated that on February 17, the expected daytime temperature in Ukraine will range from -2 to -7 degrees. She noted that it will be slightly warmer in the south, with temperatures 2-5 degrees higher. Additionally, in Kyiv, temperatures are forecasted to reach -2 to -7 degrees, with no precipitation anticipated, but conditions may be slippery, Didenko added.
Precipitation is possible in three regions, Didenko wrote: in Poltava, Sumy, and Kharkiv, as mentioned in her report.
The meteorologist also indicated when to expect a warming trend, stating that this will occur starting February 24.
The Ukrhydrometcenter portal provides a weather forecast for Ukraine from February 17 to 21. Meteorologists warned of expected precipitation: snow is anticipated on February 17 in the northern, eastern, and central regions, and on February 19 in the north and west. There will be no snowfall on February 18, according to the report. Ukrainians were also cautioned about the risk of ice on the roads.
