США надаватимуть лише ту іноземну допомогу, яка "матиме сенс" — Рубіо

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Washington will only provide foreign aid that is deemed appropriate.

He made this announcement during a press conference with the President of Costa Rica, as reported by Ukrinform.

While commenting on the potential cuts to the programs of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Rubio noted that the U.S. government plans to review payments, end ineffective initiatives, and retain only those programs that are justified.

At the same time, he emphasized that Washington will continue to support humanitarian projects, particularly in terms of food and medicine supply.

Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump made the decision to suspend all American foreign aid for 90 days. This does not apply to military support but does extend to economic and humanitarian programs implemented by USAID.

In his directive, Trump indicated that many areas of foreign aid do not align with U.S. interests and, in some cases, contradict American values.
