On January 7, spring warmth will arrive in Ukraine after a brief period of frost.
According to meteorologist Igor Kibalchich, the air temperature will rise significantly throughout the day, with some regions possibly experiencing record highs. The forecaster also noted that on January 7, Ukraine will mostly be dry. However, in the northeastern part of the country, snow and sleet are expected at night, and there may be icy conditions in some areas. Fog is possible in the western regions. The wind will be coming from the southwest at speeds of 7-12 m/s.
Nighttime temperatures will range from -1 to +4 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures are expected to be between +3 and +8 degrees. In the southern and western regions, temperatures could reach up to +11 degrees.
The meteorologist explains that this warming trend is due to the influx of warm, moist air from the Mediterranean latitudes. Consequently, the temperature backdrop will significantly increase, and record maximum temperatures are not ruled out in some areas. Occasional precipitation will occur, primarily in the form of rain and fog, sometimes mixed with sleet.
Earlier, Politeka wrote that the first decade of January would bring sharp temperature fluctuations from positive to negative. The middle of the month is expected to be conditionally cold: minus temperatures at night and positive temperatures during the day.
