Tigran Keosayan is a Russian director and TV host, a staunch supporter and promoter of the war in Ukraine, who has experienced clinical death.
The news about her husband's serious condition was reported by Keosayan's wife, Margarita Simonyan, one of the top propagandists of the killings and genocide in Ukraine. The family is included in the sanctions lists of the EU and several individual Western countries. Their assets are frozen, and entry to Europe is prohibited.
The editor-in-chief of the "Russia Today" channel, Simonyan, made a statement about her husband's condition on Telegram.
“My husband, Tigran Keosayan, has experienced clinical death and is in a coma. He has, as many know, had a very sick heart for a long time,” she wrote, adding, “I dare to ask you to pray for him.”
In Ukraine, the call to “pray for Keosayan” predictably went unheeded. At the very least, public figures reminded everyone that Keosayan is a war propagandist and cited his statements. Blogger Denis Kazansky noted: “Margarita Simonyan's husband, war propagandist Tigran Keosayan, justified the killings of Ukrainian civilians for cooperating with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
People's Deputy Alexei Goncharenko openly wished death upon Ukraine's enemy.
Meanwhile, social media users are sharing an ironic comment regarding the non-involvement of Ukrainian special services in this situation. The author insists that Budanov's style is “romantic,” so “no, it's not us.”
