When analyzing the distribution of votes and voter turnout, analysts noticed similar signs of manipulation that were recorded in Russia during the 2020 referendum.

According to Radio Free Europe, independent analysts, including Roman Udot and Levan Kvirkelia, refer to this specific visual pattern as the "Russian tail."

Utilizing the methods of Russian analysts Sergey Shpilkin and Sergey Sobyanin, researchers focused on the discrepancies in the graphical distribution of votes across various regions of Georgia. The graphs reveal differences between urbanized areas, where the data exhibits a characteristic "bell-shaped" appearance, and rural regions, where a so-called "tail" appears on the right side, suggesting potential violations of the pattern. Such anomalies have become a familiar signal for experts when it comes to detecting election fraud in countries with authoritarian tendencies.

According to Kvirkelia's research, deviations from the norm are particularly noticeable in rural areas, where manipulations have also gained an advantage.

The identified anomalies have bolstered the confidence of election critics, including Georgia's President Salome Zurabishvili and opposition parties that refuse to acknowledge the official results, accusing the ruling party of fraud. The Central Election Commission of Georgia and representatives of the "Georgian Dream" deny all allegations, calling them speculations. They argue that the data anomalies may result from natural regional variations in vote distribution.
