U.S. President Donald Trump aims to end Russia's war against Ukraine this year. However, it is essential to do this not only swiftly but also fairly and reliably for Ukraine.
This statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Zelensky noted that Ukraine has a good relationship with Trump.
"But we are in a pragmatic time, and it is crucial for us that the unnecessary voices, which sometimes bring disinformation or pro-Russian positions around Trump, are minimized. It is very important for Europe to be vocal, and for there to be more voices around Trump so that he clearly understands the details and risks that may arise in the future, and that these need to be addressed very quickly," the president emphasized.
He shared that during his conversation with Trump, the American president stated that he would do everything possible to end the war in Ukraine this year.
"I told him that we are your partner, we want to end the war this year, but not just quickly; it must be fair and reliable for us. We will do everything we can to achieve this," Zelensky added.
