Trump announced that the U.S. will take control of the Gaza Strip and that Palestinians will be displaced.

U.S. President Donald Trump held a joint press conference at the White House with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, where he made several shocking statements regarding Gaza and its residents. Trump outlined a new and unusual plan under which the United States would take control of the war-torn Gaza Strip, with plans to relocate its Palestinian population to neighboring countries. Following his announcement, journalists erupted in chatter. This is reported by Daily Mail.

This marks the latest phase of Donald Trump's plan to restore the region, which he has already promised to transform into the "Riviera of the Middle East."

"The U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will handle it. We will own it and be responsible for dismantling all dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site. We will level this place and remove the destroyed buildings," the U.S. president stated.

In his view, the reconstruction will create thousands of jobs and relieve Palestinians of the pain and costs associated with rebuilding.

When a reporter asked if this might involve the use of military force, Trump replied: "If it's necessary."

When asked who would live there, he responded: "I imagine people from all over the world will live there."

He asserted that his plans are based on humanitarian ideals and enjoy support at the highest levels.

Netanyahu, who faces international prosecution and dwindling support at home, praised Trump for his radical approach to the situation in Gaza.

He also noted that attention should be paid to Trump's latest idea of a "different future" for the patch of land currently controlled by Hamas, where hostages are being held.

"You see what others refuse to see. You say what others refuse to say. And after jaws drop, people scratch their heads and say: 'You know, he's right,'" the Israeli Prime Minister remarked.

Benjamin Netanyahu became the first foreign leader to meet with Donald Trump at the White House since his inauguration for a second term.

Trump stated that he plans to visit Gaza, Israel, and Saudi Arabia during an upcoming trip to the Middle East but did not provide any details. However, he mentioned that his decision regarding Gaza "will bring greater stability to this part of the Middle East, and perhaps to the entire Middle East."

"Everyone I've spoken to… this decision was not easy for me… Everyone I've talked to is excited about the idea that this piece of land will belong to the United States," he concluded.

Reactions to Donald Trump's Statement

In the East Room of the White House, so many journalists gathered that there was not enough space. They tried to attract the U.S. president's attention by raising their hands, but not everyone succeeded.

Afghan White House journalist Nazira Karimi, who pushed her way forward, asked about her home country.

"Do you have a plan to change the situation in Afghanistan? Do you recognize the Taliban?" she inquired.

"You have a lovely voice and a wonderful accent. The only problem is that I don't understand a word you're saying," Trump replied.

Another reporter attempted to assist. "She’s asking about the Taliban," he said.

The president shrugged: "I'll just say this. Good luck. Live in peace."

His statement about the "Middle Eastern Riviera" was met with uproar, as critics interpreted it as a veiled form of "ethnic cleansing."

However, Trump maintained complete control of the situation, engaging directly with reporters instead of following tradition and allowing a press secretary to manage the journalists.

It’s worth noting that earlier, Donald Trump launched a campaign against USAID, the U.S. Agency for International Development. His associate Elon Musk has already indicated that the agency will be shut down, and the White House website showcased how USAID had been spending its funds.
