Ukrainian gas consumers will receive a new bill in 2025 for services related to the maintenance of in-house gas supply systems.
This was reported by the gas supply company "Naftogaz Ukraine" on their official Facebook page.
What is the third bill?
It refers to the payment for a service outlined in the "Procedure for the Technical Maintenance of In-House Gas Supply Systems in Multi-Apartment Buildings." This procedure was approved by the Ministry of Energy based on the law "On Housing and Communal Services."
This bill includes the cost of work performed by specialists to ensure the safe functioning of gas networks in buildings. Payments for technical maintenance will be issued only in the month when these works are scheduled. The payment frequency will be every three to five years.
Consumer Reactions
In January 2025, clients of "Naftogaz" began reporting the receipt of new bills. One client from Chernivtsi shared a photo of her bill for the service "Technical Maintenance of IBSH" on social media, showing an amount of 183.87 UAH. "Could you please tell me what this new bill is for?" she asked the company's representatives.
Clarification from "Naftogaz"
The company explained that the bill for technical maintenance is generated according to an approved work schedule. The amount in the invoice depends on several factors:
the region of residence;
the length of in-house gas networks;
the number of apartments in the building.
Payments should be made to separate account details, which differ from those used for gas distribution payments. Information about planned technical maintenance will be posted in advance as announcements on buildings—no later than 10 days before the start of work.
What should consumers do?
If any questions arise, residents are advised to contact their gas distribution network operator (GRM), as they are responsible for organizing and carrying out these services.
