In Kharkiv, two men attacked a serviceman, beating and robbing him. They have been detained and taken into custody, reported the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office.

According to the investigation, on December 27 at approximately 17:50, the two men were near an underground passage located on Pryvokzalna Street in Kharkiv, where they spotted a 45-year-old serviceman who was on leave.

They chased him down, and one of the assailants punched the soldier in the face, and when he fell, both continued to kick him. The robbers then took the defender's belongings — his phone, documents, money, and other items he had on him — before fleeing the scene.

Law enforcement quickly identified and apprehended the culprits. They have been placed in custody.

For robbery involving violence committed in conspiracy during martial law (part 4 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), the two 38-year-old men face up to ten years of imprisonment.
