The Ukrainian Defense Forces have launched attacks in several directions within Russia's Kursk region. This was reported on January 5 by Andriy Kovalенко, head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council.
According to him, Russian troops were not anticipating these actions.
In the Kursk region, there is panic among Russians as they have faced strikes in multiple directions. The Defense Forces are doing their job, Kovalенко stated.
Andriy Yermak, head of the President's Office, also commented on the situation, referring to the events in the Kursk region as "good news." "Russia is getting what it deserves," he noted.
Meanwhile, Russian media outlets, including "Radio Free Europe" and "Meduza," report that several Russian bloggers confirm the Ukrainian military's attacks in this area.
According to their information, the strikes were aimed northeast of Suja towards Velikoye Soldatskoye, and intense fighting continued near the Berdin hamlet. It is reported that armored vehicles were involved in the offensive.
