Strike on the government quarter: how Putin revealed his vulnerability.

The strike on the government district carried out by Russia on January 1 demonstrates that Ukraine has identified a vulnerable point for Putin, notes analyst Dmitry Zolotukhin. The halt of Russian gas transit has dealt a significant blow to Russia's interests.
Strike on the government quarter: how Putin revealed his vulnerability.

THE EGGS OF KOSHCHEI

Today's multiple attempts to strike the government quarter and buildings on Bankova indicate that we have indeed hit the "Koschei's egg"... Or rather — Koschei's shriveled little eggs.

The height of the gas wars between Russia and Ukraine coincided with the beginning of my career, when I was still learning to analyze events.

Having perceived the "Orange Revolution" and the "Rose Revolution" as personal insults, in which Europeans also participated, not just the supposedly US, Putin initiated a long swing. This included proclaiming his speech at the CIS summit, where he was already promoting his Eurasian Economic Union.

Unlike oil, which was primarily an economic issue, gas has always been a political one. Therefore, Sechin was always outraged that, although he brought significant dividends to the budget, "national wealth" remained as dull as a cork, embodied by Miller.

Paradoxically, Putin threatened to turn off the gas and freeze the Europeans at every turn. He even ordered the destruction of his own "Northern Streams." Europeans were very frightened and were ready to give Putin not only Ukraine but also their wives and daughters, just to keep Koschei from raising prices.

However, it was the Ukrainians who turned the valve. Moreover, the Ukrainians consciously deprived themselves of transit revenues, as it turned out that for Ukrainians the word "values" has real value, while for Europeans, the word "values" has always only had a price.

We can be sure that after facing Koschei, Fico and Orban will rush to Brussels and Washington. Initially, to ask them to pressure Ukraine. Ultimately, to negotiate how they can behave normally, in exchange for receiving gas from other sources and EU subsidies.

After the transit closure, Mr. Erdogan will extract everything he wants from Koschei for the use of the South Stream, especially in light of the downing of the Azerbaijani plane.

In z-channels, military bloggers are going wild, some of whom were recently banned from forming their own political party because some criticized the tsar and the boyars too fervently...

We have struck Koschei's egg. Now we just need to extract and break the needle. If Washington, Berlin, and Vienna understand that a broken needle guarantees a return to business as usual, they will quickly provide ATACAMS and TAURUS.

Until then — watch Putin's social ads about freezing Europe. Yes, and the situation with Transnistria turned out to be a bit awkward. However, Tiraspol can always announce a reunification with Chisinau and get warmth back in their homes. It turns out, this game can be played by two.

We are starting the working year.
