The enemy airstrike on Zaporizhzhia, which resulted in the deaths of 13 people and left dozens injured, is a tremendous tragedy, emphasized Mayor Igor Terekhov.

“The horror that Zaporizhzhia is experiencing is all too familiar to Kharkiv. We have had up to eight KABs in a single day. Eight! And each time, Russia targets them at peaceful civilians, those who simply wish to live. Because aerial bombs are not precision weapons. They always hit civilians,” wrote the mayor on Telegram.

“Today, our hearts are with all the victims. We empathize and feel your pain as if it were our own. Because Russian terror continues every day. For all of us Ukrainians…,” the mayor added.

According to the latest information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 13 people have died and 32 have been injured in Zaporizhzhia. Most of the injured were on the street and in public transport. A total of 28 vehicles were damaged, including a tram and a minibus. The Russians struck with two FAB-500 bombs equipped with UMPK. They detonated among crowds of people—near the administrative part of an infrastructure facility and the roadway. Buildings and vehicles caught fire. Police paramedics rescued five individuals.
