The EU has proposed its own agreement on critical minerals to Ukraine, in contrast to Trump's approach.

The European Union has proposed an agreement to Ukraine regarding critical materials, offering more favorable terms than those from the United States. This was announced by the European Commissioner for Industrial Strategy, Stefan Sejourne. His statement was reported by the AFP agency.

During his visit to Kyiv, the Commissioner indicated that he presented Ukrainian officials with a different potential deal compared to what U.S. President Donald Trump is offering.

"21 out of 30 critical materials that Europe needs can be supplied by Ukraine as part of a mutually beneficial partnership. The added value that Europe offers is that we will never demand an agreement that is not mutually advantageous," Sejourne said.

As reported, Ukraine's rich mineral resources, including manganese, titanium, graphite, and lithium, have become the subject of intense negotiations between Kyiv and Washington. U.S. President Donald Trump insists that the U.S. deserves "a return on its investment" for aiding Ukraine against Russian aggression.

Previously, President Trump stated that the agreement between Ukraine and the U.S. regarding the utilization of mineral resources would ensure that the American people receive back tens of billions of dollars and military equipment sent to Ukraine. Additionally, the agreement aims to assist the Ukrainian economy in "growing".
