A man died in a fire that broke out in a private house in Kharkiv, according to the State Emergency Service.

According to data from the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv region, there were ten fires over the course of a day in Kharkiv, one of which was caused by enemy shelling.

“At 07:54, a residential fire broke out on the territory of a private household in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv. A residential building covering an area of 80 sq. m. was engulfed in flames. The body of a deceased man born in 1950 was found at the site of the fire,” the rescuers reported.

The State Emergency Service also reminded that the day before, around 14:50, while fishing on the bank of the Siverskyi Donets River in Izium, four men detonated an explosive device.

“The injured were hospitalized in a medical facility. All circumstances of the incident are being investigated by law enforcement agencies,” the firefighters added.
