In the past 24 hours, there were 43 fires in the Kharkiv region, one of which was caused by shelling from the Russian Federation, reported the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.
“Around 3 PM, due to shelling from the occupiers, grass and leaf litter caught fire in a forested area in the city of Kupiansk, covering an area of 1 hectare. Fortunately, there were no casualties. The fire was extinguished by the volunteer fire team ‘Komunalshchik’ from the village of Kovsharivka,” the rescuers stated.
Additionally, during the day, there were 28 fires in natural ecosystems across the region, burning approximately 9.7 hectares.
