Two people were injured in a fire in Tsyrkuny, according to the State Emergency Service.

On the morning of February 23, the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region informed about fires that occurred over the past 24 hours.

In total, rescuers extinguished eight fires, one of which was caused by Russian shelling. According to the State Emergency Service, a shell hit the frontline village of Lobanivka in the Derhachi community.

“As a result of the shelling, there were destructions and damages to residential and economic buildings. A fire broke out on the territory of one of the private households. A residential house burned over an area of 50 square meters. Rescuers promptly extinguished the fire. There were no casualties or injuries. A total of 10 firefighters and 2 units of emergency service equipment were on-site,” the rescuers clarified.

In the evening, at 18:43, a domestic fire occurred in Tsyrkuny. A man born in 1968 and a woman born in 1943 were injured in a private home. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

“Additionally, State Emergency Service personnel were involved in surveying the area following the shelling in the Bohodukhiv district. As a result of the impact (preliminarily from a shell), a garage was destroyed, and three apartment buildings, 14 private houses, economic structures, garages, and gas-energy networks were partially damaged. A woman born in 1964 was injured,” the State Emergency Service added.
