In Poland, in Warsaw, a group of criminals disguised as police officers, border guards, and food delivery personnel broke into an apartment and stole a bag filled with cash. Six men entered the residence where three women from Ukraine were present. This was reported by the publication Wiadomosci.gazeta.pl.
The robbers tied up the Ukrainian women and took the bag containing approximately one million zlotys. The incident occurred in a building on Bagno Street.
The criminals acted while wearing masks and special uniforms. According to eyewitness accounts, four of the criminals were dressed in police uniforms, the fifth was in a border guard uniform, and the sixth wore clothing typical of a food delivery person.
Witnesses reported that there were three Ukrainian women in the apartment — two around 20 years old and one about 40 years old. One of them opened the door to an intruder who claimed to be a food delivery person.
As soon as the women let him in, the other members of the group rushed into the apartment. They tied up the women and locked them in one of the rooms while they began to search the premises. The amount specified in the stolen bag is estimated to be one million zlotys. According to the victims, the money was obtained from the sale of an apartment in Ukraine.
The police are currently investigating whether the incident matches the reported testimonies and statements from the victims. An inquiry is underway to determine how such a large sum was transported across the border. The police are also working to identify the criminals and their connections to other crimes in the region.
It is worth noting that in Poland, a group of Ukrainians and Moldovans were held in forced labor for several months. Three individuals were arrested on charges of human trafficking.
