The host of "Orel i Reshka" revealed the show's biggest secret: how the "golden card" works in hotels.

The crew of the popular travel show "Orel i Reshka" rented an expensive room for the holder of the "gold card," but only for one night. This was revealed by producer, director, and presenter Evgeny Sinelnikov in an interview with "Lux FM."

He admitted that the host who won "unlimited" stays in a fantastic five-star hotel for one night, while for the rest of the filming period, he has to share a hostel with the entire crew, as the project's directors try to save costs.

"So you have five nights, and only one with the gold card, or in a hostel. It means the whole group gathers in one hotel anyway; everyone has that hotel, and all the luggage and bags arrive there," he explained.

Sinelnikov also shared that the hosts' fees did not depend on the amount of work, as everyone received a fixed salary. However, he did not disclose the amount, citing it as a commercial secret, although he noted that, according to him, the salary was not very high.

"It wasn't changed, whether you filmed five programs or just one. We all worked for a salary," he clarified. But at the end of the year, if the company made a profit, then the team would "split" the earnings according to a percentage rate.

"Orel & Reshka is an entertaining travel show that explores a specific country or city from the perspective of two hosts, one of whom supposedly has an unlimited budget, while the other has $100 for two days. To determine who will live "like a billionaire" and who will have to count pennies, at the beginning of each trip, the hosts toss a coin, and each time it is decided by heads or tails. This is essentially what the show's name is based on.

The first season of "Orel i Reshka" premiered in 2011. The hosts were Alan and Zhanna Badoev, and Evgeny Sinelnikov served as the show's director. He became a host in 2014 when he had to replace Nikolai Sergu, who missed his flight.

A total of 24 seasons of the show have been produced.

It is worth noting that 37-year-old showman Andrey Bednyakov is divorcing 39-year-old actress Anastasia Korotkaya after 16 years of marriage. The former hosts of the travel show "Orel i Reshka" were officially married for 10 years and have a 9-year-old daughter, Ksyusha, and a 2-year-old son, Ostap.
