A 45-year-old man committed nearly 20 thefts over a span of five months, reported the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office.

The man, who has a history of multiple convictions, unlawfully took possession of someone else's property nearly 20 times between May and September 2024. He stole equipment belonging to the municipal enterprises "Zhilkomservis" and "Kharkiv Thermal Networks" from basements and elevator shafts, and broke into a café, where he removed household appliances and plumbing fixtures.

From a sports field, the thief took a mobile phone that did not belong to him. Additionally, while visiting an acquaintance, he stole wristwatches that belonged to the homeowner.

During the trial, the defendant fully admitted his guilt.

The Kyiv District Court of Kharkiv issued a guilty verdict. The court found the 45-year-old man guilty of committing a series of thefts and attempted thefts, sentencing him to 5 years and 5 months in prison.
