Russian forces have advanced on two fronts, with Ukrainian soldiers reporting the occupation of two villages (see map).
The offensive of the RF Armed Forces in Donbas continues; on the first day of 2025, the enemy managed to advance on several sections of the front in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions, report analysts from DeepState.
According to the analysts, the Russians are conducting an intense offensive near Volkovoe and Neskuchnoe.
Additionally, DeepState reports that the enemy has advanced in Novoelizavetovka, Solenoe, Vozdvizhenka, the city of Kurakhove, and its southern outskirts.
0 1 RF Armed Forces Offensive in Donbas: Information from the General Staff
As of 22:00 on January 1, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russians conducted assault offensives 35 times during the day. They were actively advancing near the settlements of Vozdvizhenka, Myrolubovka, Lisovka, Novy Trud, Solenoe, Kotlino, Peschanoye, Pokrovsk, Novoaleksyevka, Zelenoe, Novooleevka, Dachenko, and Novovasilyevka.
According to the General Staff, over the course of the day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated 161 and wounded 143 occupiers in the Pokrovsk direction, destroyed an armored personnel carrier and five vehicles, and damaged three vehicles and one combat armored vehicle.
In the Kurakhove direction on January 1, the General Staff reported 18 combat encounters. Fighting took place near Ukrainka, Petropavlivka, and Kurakhove. A total of 86 occupiers were eliminated, five armored vehicles were destroyed, and one combat vehicle was damaged.
2 What the Defense Forces Say About the RF Armed Forces Offensive
A military personnel with the call sign "Muchnoi" reported in the morning of January 1 about the enemy's advance westward in the Pokrovsk direction.
"The enemy continues to push westward and has already managed to displace us from the village of Solenoe!" — noted the fighter.
"Muchnoi" also mentioned that the Russians have occupied Vozdvizhenka and will begin to break through further towards the Konstantinovka-Pokrovsk highway.
Regarding the Kurakhove direction, the serviceman mentioned the fighting for Petropavlivka and within the "pocket."
"The enemy is constantly launching assaults and is slowly consolidating in the towns. Additional preparations are underway for a counterattack on Ulakly and Konstantinople," — said "Muchnoi."
As of 22:47 on January 1, he also reported the destruction of an enemy group near Neskuchnoe, the advance of Russians towards Vremovka, and regrouping in the north.
It is worth noting that on January 1, Russian media reported that prisoners in Russia will no longer receive rewards for participating in the war against Ukraine.
On December 31, analysts from DeepState reported that the RF Armed Forces advanced in two directions: around the villages of Slavyanka and Petropavlivka in the Kurakhove direction and near the villages of Solenoe and Volkovoe in the Pokrovsk direction.
