He discussed this on the program "Personality with Sergey Doiko".
“I frame it as a bipolar disorder in Putin and his political elite, where, on one hand, they are the largest nuclear power, the second largest army in the world, the biggest country globally, and on the other hand, they are vulnerable to small Ukraine, which had no chance of becoming a NATO member before 2022,” emphasizes Alexander Khara.
Moreover, he adds, this bipolar disorder has transferred to Europeans and Americans, those who have assisted us, and we are grateful for that, but they have limited this support due to fears of two things: the collapse of Russia and the possibility that Putin might press the red button. The expert also recalls Merkel and Obama, whom he considers architects of our current catastrophe, meaning they were weak Western politicians who inadequately responded in their time.
And now, he notes, we have arrived at this strike with an intercontinental ballistic missile, which is certainly a war crime, but also a desperate move. According to the guest of the program, Putin is literally shouting that he is drawing red lines, and we keep crossing them.
“Everyone clearly remembers this story that Putin told someone; it’s in a book. That as a punk in St. Petersburg, he saw a cornered rat attack, and he understood that he had to strike first. I’m not sure if this was indeed part of his history, but I am confident that it is very clearly and meticulously projected onto the image of KGB officer Putin, to present to the world that this man is capable of anything, that he can take any steps that were previously considered insane,” reflects Alexander Khara.
As reported by Politeka, Reiterovich stated that the story with the nuclear doctrine currently works more against Russia than it helps.
Politeka also wrote about how Musiienko explained how dangerous the Russian "Oreshnik" is and how Ukraine can respond.
