"Earned" a million from road repairs in Kharkiv by deceiving the municipal enterprise: who are the suspects?

The director of the LLC, which was engaged in road repairs in Kharkiv, has been served with suspicion, writes the regional prosecutor's office.

“According to the investigation, in October 2023, the LLC undertook the obligation to restore the asphalt concrete surface on Energetichna Street in Kharkiv, signing a corresponding contract with the municipal enterprise,” the law enforcement officials clarified.

However, the investigation revealed that the director chose not to fulfill certain conditions, resulting in substandard repairs.

“For instance, the volume of asphalt concrete mix used was less than what was stated in the acts of completed work. Additionally, a poor-quality asphalt concrete mix was utilized,” the prosecutor's office added.

As a result, the individual “earned” over a million hryvnias, with the funds received from the municipal enterprise. Currently, measures of restraint are being prepared for the suspect.
