"Consequences are already unpleasant": Deepstate reports a worsening situation in Kursk.

Starting in January 2025, Russian forces gradually increased their control over the movements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, resulting in a worsening situation in the Kursk direction. This was reported by analysts from Deepstate.

"The biggest issue in the Kursk region is the enemy's fire control over the entire logistics of the Defense Forces... Throughout February, it began to reach its peak, and the most significant complications arose after the loss of Sverdlikov, which was also attempted to be restored in a poorly thought-out manner," the report states.

Analysts clarified that after the Russians sensed their previous success, they are trying to break through to the village of Noven'koye in the Sumy region.

"It cannot be said that they have the capability to easily secure themselves in the village, as it is inherently difficult due to the absence of the village itself, and the terrain does not favor this either. It is clear that a decision will be made to conduct stabilization measures, as this case has even gained public attention, but how this will end and whether the enemy will take securing that area as a principal goal remains to be seen. The resources are available for the ka*aps to establish themselves there, and they are making attempts," Deepstate noted.

Moreover, a "disconcerting aspect" is the advancement of the RF Armed Forces along the border between the settlements of Zhuravka and Noven'koye. According to experts, this area is responsible for the highest number of strikes on logistics that occur from Yunakovka to Sudzha.

"A large number of fighters are noting this problem, and something urgent needs to be done about it, as the consequences are already unpleasant in the form of losses of more than a dozen vehicles," Deepstate emphasized.

They highlighted that the worst-case scenario would be the RF directly reaching the outskirts of Sudzha.

Recall that on February 28, the spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmitry Likhoviy, reported that three days earlier the RF Armed Forces crossed the border of the Sumy region.

On March 1, Deepstate analysts reported that another "gray zone" had formed in Sumy.
