The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will have a unique variant. The sports car will be transformed into a wingless aircraft. This information is reported by the website Autoevolution.
The original tuning for the Chevrolet Corvette C8 is being prepared by the American studio Mxtrem. The developers drew inspiration from the F-15 Eagle and F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets. The project has been named Maverick.
The design of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has become more aggressive. The sports car features a pointed "nose," body kit, and flared wings. At the rear, there is new tailing and two nozzles. Additionally, the car will even be equipped with rocket replicas.
The interior of the Chevrolet Corvette C8 will also be modified. The coupe will receive a yoke-style steering wheel and aviation-style switches. The gear lever resembles an aircraft control stick. The seats are adorned with decor that resembles a ejection seat handle.
In total, only 12 Chevrolet Corvette Mavericks are planned for production. The cars will primarily be offered to collectors.
The modifications will utilize both the standard 495-horsepower Chevrolet Corvette C8 and the high-performance 670-horsepower Z06 variant, as well as the 655-horsepower hybrid E-Ray. The first prototype of the Maverick is expected to be ready by May.
