"Now I'm finished": a man found a surprise inside his laptop (photo).

A man encountered an unpleasant “surprise” inside his Apple MacBook laptop. It turned out that a whole colony of ants had taken residence there. This video, shared on TikTok at the end of last week, has already gathered 16.7 million views and is gaining traction.

Initially, the device owner tried an unconventional method to evict the ants: he played songs by American artist Taylor Swift from her 2017 album Reputation. Unfortunately, this tactic did not work. Later, the man informed his followers that he planned to buy a new laptop.

One user jokingly suggested, “Play The Sims for 10 minutes.” Another added, “Why are they helping each other escape as if there’s a fire in the house?” In response, the video creator commented, “Every time I pressed the keys, I heard a constant crunch. Now I'm done for.”

In subsequent videos, he showed how he took the laptop to a computer repair shop to deal with the ants. The device was disassembled, revealing even more insects inside. Ultimately, according to him, the damage was so severe that there was nothing that could be done.

Subscribers comforted the man and shared their own stories and advice on how to deal with pests.

“I never would have thought that the community would be so heartfelt in comforting me until I got a new computer,” shared the owner of the broken device when he received his upgrade from the courier.

By the way, in 2013, Live Science reported that certain species of ants are attracted to heat and electromagnetic fields emitted by electronics. For example, Nylanderia fulva is known to nest in electronic devices, sometimes causing short circuits and malfunctions in equipment.
