A woman is suspected of murder after allegedly stabbing someone in the neck and head on New Year's Eve.

According to investigators, the events unfolded on the night of December 31 to January 1 on Antonova Street.

A group of several people was celebrating the New Year. Over time, the festive gathering escalated into a conflict between a married couple.

“During the argument, the woman grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her partner multiple times in the neck and head. Emergency services arrived at the scene and transported the 34-year-old victim to the hospital, but unfortunately, they were unable to save his life — he passed away a few hours later,” the prosecutor's office specified.

At this time, the woman has already been formally charged. Law enforcement is preparing to request a detention order for her.
