Drama in Kharkiv region: A 17-year-old boy is suspected of the bizarre murder of his stepfather.

Investigators have charged a 17-year-old boy with the murder of his 54-year-old stepfather, reported the National Police.

The incident occurred in the village of Muravlinka in the Berestynskyi district around 1 a.m. on January 5. Police were called due to domestic violence in the family. Upon arrival, they found the body of a 54-year-old man.

It was revealed that the deceased and his 17-year-old stepson, who had a long-standing troubled relationship, had another argument. The boy then strangled his stepfather with his legs.

The young man faces a prison sentence of up to 15 years.
