The head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleg Synegubov, reported during a national marathon that new Russian drones are increasingly attacking the Kharkiv region.
According to him, the enemy has begun launching FPV drones over fiber optic lines. These are harder to shoot down – effectively eliminating these UAVs can only be done with small arms.
“Yes, we are recording this. Again, in the same direction of Zolochiv, in the northern part of the territory – in the Kharkiv direction, in Lipetsk, in Volchansk, we have already started to notice such FPV drones over fiber optics. Of course, we are currently taking all necessary measures to support our military as much as possible – to combat this new challenge and not only on fiber optics,” noted Synegubov.
Additionally, he added that now the occupiers frequently strike Kharkiv not only with "Shaheds" but also with drones "Molniya-1" and "Molniya-2". These types of UAVs damage infrastructure and disrupt the peaceful life of civilians.
“That’s why we are considering how to further protect the city of Kharkiv, to strengthen our military capabilities in detection and electronic warfare. Therefore, we will not stop here and must constantly adapt to stay at least one step ahead of our enemy,” concluded the head of the Regional State Administration.
