Chubenko also reported on the main changes in the operational situation in Kharkiv over the past week. He emphasized the new type of UAV that the Russians have begun using against civilians.

“This week, the enemy used the UAV called ‘Molniya-1’ for the first time. It was deployed for two consecutive days, with a total of four strikes on Kharkiv already carried out. This UAV is small compared to the 'Shahed'. Its wingspan is 1.2 meters and its length is 1.4 meters. It is about two to three times smaller than the 'Shahed' in size. It weighs around 10 kilograms and can be described as a large FPV drone of airplane type, capable of covering up to 40 kilometers. It is armed with explosives weighing between three to seven kilograms, depending on the payload installed. For comparison, the 'Shahed' has a payload of 50 kilograms, making it about ten times less powerful. However, its strikes still harm civilians and injure non-combatants due to the shrapnel spread from this UAV after detonation. Essentially, this UAV cannot fulfill any military objectives, and its use effectively terrorizes the local population. All the strikes inflicted were on civilian homes or residential areas, which again indicates the intent to terrorize the residents of Kharkiv,” Chubenko stated.
