A driver in Kharkiv was caught using fake licenses while violating traffic rules: the tale of a reckless motorist.

As reported by the regional patrol police in Kharkiv Oblast, the driver was stopped on Science Avenue.

The day before, around 12:00 PM, the police pulled over a VAZ vehicle for violating traffic rules. However, the driver managed to surprise the officers not only with his reckless driving.

“The driver presented a driver's license for inspection, which showed signs of forgery, specifically: missing essential security features and a non-standard font application. There was also a discrepancy in the information found in the existing databases,” the patrol officers clarified.

The man admitted that he purchased the fake license online for 14,000 hryvnias.

“Let us remind you that using a knowingly forged document is subject to criminal liability under Article 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps, and forms, selling or using forged documents, seals, stamps) of the Criminal Code,” the police noted.
