On January 2nd, around 12:00 PM, the Russian army shelled the village of Borovaya in the Kharkiv region.
According to reports from the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office, the strikes damaged an educational institution, a music school, non-residential buildings, and residential homes.
Preliminary information from law enforcement indicates that the occupiers targeted the settlement using multiple rocket launchers.
Investigators have initiated a pre-trial investigation into the commission of a war crime (part 1 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Previously, the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration reported that the central part of the village was under fire. Relevant services are working at the scene. There are no casualties reported as a result of the strike.
