A cyclone is approaching Kharkiv region: road workers warned about rain, snow, and icy conditions

The cyclone will move in from the Poltava and Sumy regions. According to information from the Infrastructure Recovery and Development Service in Kharkiv region, road workers are prepared for such weather.

“Special equipment is being deployed to standby in certain locations along the main routes of the region. Traffic on state roads will be maintained,” the statement said.

Ukrainian soldiers repelled two attacks today in the Volchansk area in the Kharkiv direction, reported the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in their summary as of 16:00.

The Russian army nearly daily bombards the Zolochiv community. In particular, KABs are "arriving." He also mentioned that today, January 2, enemy helicopters struck the station at Odnorobivka and the village of Basove twice.

According to Terekhov, in 2024, the occupiers damaged 2658 houses in Kharkiv. As a result of the strikes, 34,992 windows in apartments were affected, of which 33,427 have already been closed.

The enemy’s losses over the past day amounted to 78 people, of which 30 were irreversible and 48 were sanitary.

Additionally, in the Kharkiv direction, the enemy lost 42 units of weapons and military equipment, either destroyed or damaged.

How many drunk drivers were caught by the police on the roads of Kharkiv region on January 1

Over the past day, police stopped 27 drivers showing signs of intoxication while operating vehicles, reported by the Patrol Police Department in Kharkiv region.

“Fortunately, the drunken journeys of these drivers ended with stops by patrol officers. Appropriate administrative materials have been drawn up for all of them, which will be submitted to the court,” law enforcement noted.

A series of KAB strikes on Kharkiv region on January 1: Synegubov reported on the destruction

According to data from the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Synegubov, on January 1, the enemy actively bombarded the Zolochiv community with KABs. At 20:18, as a result of a strike, two private houses were damaged in the village of Turovo.
