In the northern part of Kharkiv region, the losses of the Russian Armed Forces over the past day amounted to 72 soldiers, of which 24 were eliminated and 48 were injured

As reported by the Kharkiv OTG, the enemy also lost 67 units of weapons and equipment destroyed and damaged, including three armored personnel carriers, six artillery systems, seven vehicles, five units of special equipment, and 46 UAVs.

The operational situation in the Kharkiv direction has not undergone significant changes and remains complex. The enemy attempted to storm the area near Volchansk twice, carried out 60 strikes with kamikaze drones, and conducted 430 shellings of the defenders' positions.

During the night, enemy drones were shot down in Kharkiv region

The Russians attacked Ukraine with 81 drones, including Shahed, reports the command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The air defense forces shot down 34 drones in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Mykolaiv regions.

The remaining 47 drones were locally lost — without negative consequences.

Over the past day, the Russian military attempted to storm twice in the northern Kharkiv region and seven times in the Kupiansk direction

As informed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the morning summary, in the Kharkiv direction, defenders repelled attacks in the area of Volchansk, and in the Kupiansk direction — near Kucherovka, Sinkyovka, and Zahryzovo.

On January 3, the Russians attacked Kharkiv region with UAVs and tanks. Over the course of the day, two people were injured from shelling

▪️At 6:45, a "Shahed" hit the roof of a hangar at an agricultural enterprise in Bohodukhiv. A fire broke out covering an area of 300 square meters. It was promptly extinguished, and there were no casualties or injuries.

▪️The village of Kazachya Lopan in the Kharkiv district was subjected to tank shelling at 8:55. A 55-year-old civilian man was injured.

▪️The village of Zapadnoye in the Kupiansk district was attacked by an FPV drone at 10:45. A 56-year-old civilian man sustained explosive injuries and was hospitalized.

According to data from the American Institute for the Study of War, Russian troops attacked in the Volchansk area, north of Kupiansk in the area of Zapadnoye and Dvurechna, southeast of Kupiansk in the area of Zahryzovo and Lozova, and west of Svatovo in the area of Nadezhda and Kruglyakovka.
