Approximately one hundred buildings were damaged in the Shevchenkivskyi, Kyivskyi, and Novobavarskyi districts of Kharkiv due to a drone attack on the night of March 1, reported Mayor Ihor Terekhov during a national marathon broadcast.
“Just last night, we nearly completed all restoration work, including the restoration of heating for some homes, and we sealed all the areas that were damaged. A total of one hundred buildings, including multi-story residential buildings, were affected. More than a thousand windows were shattered as a result of this attack. Additionally, a hypermarket and a hospital were also damaged,” Terekhov noted.
The hospital, he clarified, is currently not operational.
“There were people inside who were immobile. Sixty individuals were evacuated during the night when it was cold. I am very grateful to everyone who participated in the evacuation of these people, including the ambulances, our doctors, and of course, the State Emergency Service, because there was a significant fire that was extinguished in a timely manner. However, the consequences are very, very serious,” Terekhov reminded.
