The Mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, spoke at the site of the strike, presumably from the UAV "Molniya," on January 30, discussing what the military says about countering these drones.
“I spoke with our military. The only thing they mention is that effective counteraction consists of electronic warfare. As for why this is happening today, I cannot tell you what is on the mind of the Russian Federation, but it certainly puts pressure on people, impacting their psychological state, and we fully understand this. However, they will not be able to exert pressure on the residents of Kharkiv,” Terekhov noted.
According to him, the UAV struck the yard of a private house. As a result of the strike, the roof and 15 windows were damaged. One person has an acute stress reaction.
When asked if there were any other drone strikes in Kharkiv today, Terekhov responded that “there is preliminary information,” but he cannot disclose it at this time.
