The SBU suspects individuals of aiding Russia in the "privatization" of enterprises in the Kharkiv region.

As writes the spokesperson for the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, Vladislav Abdula, the traitor, according to security forces, turned out to be a 51-year-old resident of Kupiansk.

“During the occupation of the district center by the Russian invaders, the man voluntarily led a department in the so-called 'Department of Economic Development of the Occupation Administration of Kharkiv Region.' Law enforcement officials established that the collaborator was responsible for the 'inventory' of all machine engineering and agro-industrial enterprises that fell under occupation in the Kharkiv region. Additionally, he personally reported to the invaders about the results of such inspections,” the authorities disclosed.

After such “inspections,” the enemy illegally “privatized” the enterprises.

“At the direction of the suspect, his subordinates prepared new statutory documents according to Russian legislation, registered them according to Russian standards, and then illegally imposed tax obligations in favor of the occupation authorities,” the SBU explained.

Before the de-occupation of Kupiansk, the suspect fled to the territory of the Russian Federation and is currently hiding from law enforcement.

“Based on the evidence collected by the Security Service employees, the suspect has been notified of suspicion in absentia under part 5 of article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaborative activity). Comprehensive measures are ongoing to establish the location of the collaborator and to hold him accountable under the law,” the security forces added.
