The prosecutor's office reports strikes from three drones in two districts of Kharkiv – Kyiv and Shevchenkivskyi.
“In the Kyiv district, there were two impacts, the most serious one behind me – it hit the second floor of a 9-story residential building. Fortunately, there was no one in the apartment at the time, and no one in this building sustained serious injuries. As of midnight, two individuals reported acute stress reactions, and two more were carried out on stretchers by ambulance crews. They are receiving medical assistance and being examined by doctors. We are currently unable to comment on their condition or whether they have any injuries, as they are elderly individuals who cannot move on their own, so they were carried out on stretchers and are now being examined,” Chubenko specified.
The second “arrival” in the Kyiv district occurred near a restaurant building, which also sustained damage from the shelling.
“And the third impact occurred on one of the central streets of Kharkiv city. As a result of the explosion, the glazing and façade of a 7-story residential building were damaged. Dozens of windows were shattered at this location. The impact was precisely on the street, affecting the roadway. It is preliminarily suggested that the Russians used a UAV called “Geran” for the shelling,” the spokesperson added.
It is worth noting that an air raid alert was declared in Kharkiv on February 25 at 23:46 – residents were informed of the threat of an attack by “Shahed” drones. Anti-aircraft defense systems were heard operating in various districts. Explosions began around midnight and continued for about half an hour. By the night of February 26, Mayor Igor Terekhov reported three “arrivals” in two districts of Kharkiv – Shevchenkivskyi and Kyiv. According to the city mayor, the enemy attacked Kharkiv with four drones.
