The report of the murder was received on January 27 from the deputy head of the Dvurechansk village military administration, writes the regional police department in Kharkiv Oblast.
It turned out that the witnesses to the incident were local residents of Dvurechna, who managed to leave the occupied settlement.
“A 45-year-old man and two women, aged 60 and 58, were able to escape from the occupied territory of the Dvurechansk community and arrived in the village of Kutyovka in the Kupiansk district, where they reported the incident to law enforcement,” the police explained.
According to the investigation, the Russians broke into the homes of local residents on January 3, where four civilians were living.
“The occupiers shot a 59-year-old man, injuring his neck and shoulder. A few days later, the victim died. The body of the deceased remained on the premises of the household,” the police noted.
Investigators have already opened a criminal case, and the pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
