The police detained a 46-year-old man with a criminal record who struck one of the law enforcement officers in the subway, reported the National Police.
On February 26 at around 3:25 PM, at the "Historical Museum" metro station, the man was behaving provocatively and using foul language in front of a crowd, thereby disturbing public order. Officers attempted to calm him down and check his identification, but he attacked one of them and struck one of the law enforcement officials.
The offender turned out to be a 46-year-old man previously convicted of serious crimes. He was arrested, and criminal proceedings were initiated. The penalty under this article provides for up to five years of imprisonment.
