Family drama in Kharkiv: a drunk man threatened to harm his partner.

The police received a report about a family dispute in Kharkiv on January 1 around 14:00, writes the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region.

Events unfolded in the Shevchenkivskyi district, the police clarified.

“Upon arrival, the officers found a 40-year-old man in a state of intoxication and a 64-year-old woman in the apartment. The offender was using foul language towards his partner, insulting her and threatening her with physical harm,” the police added.

They resolved the conflict and drew up an administrative protocol against the man under Article 173-2 – this pertains to domestic violence, gender-based violence, failure to comply with an urgent restraining order, or not reporting his temporary place of residence.
