Throughout the Kharkiv region, the Russian army launched attacks with the Iskander-M missile, deployed strike drones like the Shahed, and shelled civilians with various types of weaponry over the course of a day.
Information regarding the aftermath of the Russian shelling was provided by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, on the morning of December 20. According to his report, three people were killed in the region, and there were also injuries. The most severe consequences were from a missile strike in the Kupiansk district.
“15:14, Kupiansk district, village of Shevchenkove. As a result of the Iskander-M shelling, 12 private homes, a 'Nova Poshta' facility, and three outbuildings were damaged. Three individuals were injured. Two women aged 65 and 67, and a 33-year-old man lost their lives,” Synegubov reminded.
In the evening of December 20, around 20:30, a Russian Shahed struck the Zmiiv community in the Chuhuiv district — the impact occurred in the village of Cheremushne.
“A Shahed fell and exploded in the yard of a private household. The private residence was damaged. A 46-year-old woman was injured,” noted the head of the HOVA.
A 54-year-old resident of Dvurechne was also injured — according to police information, the civilian sustained injuries from an FPV drone strike.
Throughout the day, the village of Oreshanka in the Zolochiv community came under shelling. Fortunately, there were no casualties or destruction. The strike was directed at the forest.
