According to data from the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, rescuers made 16 outings in a day, ten of which were to extinguish fires.
During the day, Russian forces regularly shelled Kupiansk, targeting the residential area of the city.
“As a result of the shelling, there were destructions and damages to residential and economic buildings. A fire broke out on the territory of one of the private households. A residential house, an economic building, and a vehicle were engulfed in flames over an area of 300 square meters. A woman born in 1938 was injured at the scene. The rescuers and EMS personnel who arrived provided first aid to the injured and transferred her to the emergency medical team. Firefighting and debris removal efforts were halted due to continuous enemy shelling,” the State Emergency Service explained.
Also, the day before, a fire occurred in a private house in Khoroshevo in the Kharkiv district.
“Firefighters who arrived at the scene found that a residential house was burning over an area of 120 square meters. The fire was brought under control at 19:20. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation,” the firefighters clarified.
