The explosion occurred in Kharkiv around 10:00 PM on March 2.

“Among the eight injured, there is a seven-year-old child. As a result of the enemy drone strike, three houses were damaged and nearly one hundred and fifty windows were shattered. All relevant services and volunteers are working at the site of the strike,” — wrote he.
Updated at 11:32 PM. In the apartment that was hit by the "Shahed," no one was living there, reported the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office.
“At 10 PM, a strike occurred in the Saltivskyi district, hitting the fifth floor of a five-story residential building. Preliminary information indicates it was a "Shahed" drone or "Geran-2." A fire broke out in a neighboring apartment on the fifth floor. The apartment that was directly hit was unoccupied. The man is currently not in Kharkiv and essentially did not live there. Therefore, we do not have any serious casualties at this moment. Apartment inspections are ongoing in this building, and we are communicating with locals regarding their injuries. Thus, the number of injured may increase, but generally, it is unlikely that there will be anyone with serious injuries,” — noted the spokesperson for the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office, Dmytro Chubenko.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov meanwhile informed that the number of injured has risen to seven people.

Updated at 10:47 PM. Due to the "Shahed" strike on the high-rise in Kharkiv, a fire broke out, noted the mayor of Kharkiv.
“Firefighters are currently extinguishing the fire that engulfed several apartments on the top floor of the apartment building as a result of the drone strike. At this point, three individuals have been injured: a 21-year-old man, an 80-year-old woman, and a 50-year-old man. All have refused hospitalization for now,” — informed Terekhov.
Updated at 10:37 PM. “A 21-year-old man was injured but did not require hospitalization. The drone strike caused a fire in the apartments. Window glazing in nearby houses was also damaged,” — reported the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov.
The number of injured has increased to three, and they received assistance on-site.
10:19 PM. Mayor Ihor Terekhov wrote on Telegram that, preliminarily, a “Shahed”-type drone struck the central part of the city.
Moments later, he added that a Russian drone hit a high-rise building, igniting a fire on one of the floors.
The strike targeted a residential apartment building in the Kyiv district, reported the mayor.
As writes Oleg Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, a balcony in the apartment building in the city center caught fire. Rescuers are working at the scene.
Currently, there is information about one injured person.
