A man was robbed on a tram in Kharkiv.

On the afternoon of January 2nd, a thief snatched a "Redmi Note" smartphone from the hands of a 44-year-old man at a tram stop on Klochkivska Street and fled the scene.

Officers from the criminal investigation department identified the suspected perpetrator and apprehended him, according to the National Police in the Kharkiv region.

The stolen mobile phone had already been sold by the man.

A criminal case has been opened under part 4 of Article 186 (robbery) of the Criminal Code. The 40-year-old man has been informed of the suspicion against him. He faces a prison sentence of seven to ten years.
