A fire was reported in a private house in the city of Merefa, Kharkiv region, at 7:19 AM on March 2nd.
Upon the arrival of the rescuers, the roof of the house was ablaze, covering an area of 80 square meters. As a result of the fire, a 54-year-old woman lost her life, reports the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.
The emergency services extinguished the fire by 9:02 AM. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
