128 individuals were rescued from the psychoneurological boarding house in the city of Yuzhnoe, as reported by the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv region.
The fire broke out on the night of December 4 at 21:44 in a two-story building of the psychoneurological boarding house.
A mattress and belongings in a room on the second floor were on fire. The area of the blaze was 2 m².
During the incident, 6 people were injured, one of whom suffered 90% burns, while the other 5 experienced carbon monoxide poisoning.
All the injured were hospitalized. Staff from the institution and emergency service personnel rescued 128 individuals.
The fire was extinguished by 22:30.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
